Intro
Bluejay was preparing to launch their open source product and needed a video that could explain the idea fast and make it stick. We built the concept around a simple visual: their founder and CEO at Yogurtland, building his own frozen yogurt from scratch. The toppings became a stand-in for the product itself, showing that just like a custom cup of froyo, users could take Bluejay's product and build it into whatever they needed. It was a fun shoot with a clear job to do, make an open source pitch feel simple and human.

Objective
The goal was to explain what "open source" actually means for the end user in a way that didn't feel technical or dry. Bluejay wanted a launch video that communicated flexibility and customization without leaning on jargon. Using the Yogurtland concept let us show, not tell, this is a product you build to your own taste. Everything was built around getting that one idea across clearly before launch day.

Challenge
The timeline was the biggest constraint. Bluejay had a fixed launch date, which meant scripting, shooting, and editing all had to happen within a single week. There was no room for a slow creative process, the concept had to be locked fast, the shoot had to be efficient, and the edit had to be turned around quickly without cutting corners on quality. Keeping the tone light and fun while working under that kind of deadline pressure took tight coordination from day one.

Result
The video was delivered on time for Bluejay's launch, giving them a clear and memorable way to introduce their open source product to the market. The Yogurtland concept made a complex idea easy to grasp in seconds, and the finished piece gave the founder and CEO a launch asset that felt personal instead of generic. For a one-week turnaround, the project proved that a simple idea, executed well, can carry a technical product launch further than a heavy explainer ever could.
