Intro

Feathery needed a launch video that could explain a problem most people in financial services feel but rarely see laid out visually, how much work and how many disconnected people go into a single client proposal. We built the concept around a single, continuing shot. It opens on the founder with actors behind him representing each piece of a real proposal, advisor insights, tax, financial planning, estate planning, and operations, all working in a jumbled, disorganized mess. As the camera slowly zooms out, the demo appears with the founder's voiceover explaining what Feathery actually does. Then the frame resets, same shot, same people, but now everything behind him is organized and working together.

Objective

The goal was to make an abstract, back-office problem feel immediate and visual, without relying on a script full of industry jargon. Financial proposals pull from multiple teams and processes that rarely talk to each other, and Feathery's product exists to fix that. Using actors to physically represent each function let us show the chaos before automation and the order after it, all in the same frame. The before and after had to be obvious at a glance, so the value of the product would land even before the demo voiceover kicked in.

Challenge

The concept lived or died on execution. A slow zoom out only works if the blocking, movement, and timing of every actor is deliberate, since the "jumbled mess" and the "organized team" both had to read clearly on camera without looking staged or messy in the wrong way. Coordinating multiple actors playing specific roles, tax, financial planning, estate planning, operations, meant clear direction on set so each person's movement told the right part of the story. On top of that, the demo section had to cut in smoothly without breaking the continuous feel of the shot.

Result

The final video gave Feathery a launch piece that explained their product visually before a single technical word was said. The single continuous shot format made the before and after impossible to miss, giving viewers an immediate, intuitive sense of what automation actually changes in a proposal workflow. It positioned Feathery as a company solving a real, tangible problem, not just adding another software layer, and gave them a launch video that stood out for showing the transformation instead of just describing it.
